The last bout has been added to the upcoming UFC card in Brazil.
The UFC announced on Thursday that Iuri Alcantara and Russell Doane are set to collide in a bantamweight match-up at the UFC Fight Night 51 card at the Nilson Nelson gymnasium in Brasilia on Sept. 13. The lineup is complete with 11 match-ups.
Alcantara (31-5, 1 no-contest) looks to extend his win streak to 3-0 in 2014 after scoring a devastating 25-second TKO victory over Vaughan Lee in his last UFC appearance. Prior to that victory, “Marajo” defeated Wilson Reis via split decision in Brazil.
Doane (14-3) went the distance against Marcus Brimage in his last UFC fight, but finished Leandro Issa in his Octagon debut in January. Doane, a former Tachi Palace bantamweight champion, enters the bout riding a three-fight winning streak.
