Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC Fight Night 88 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which took place last night (Sun., May 29, 2016) inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The promotion dished out a handful of post-fight bonuses once the dust settled in “Sin City,” and I don’t think it will come as a surprise to learn that Cody Garbrandt banked an extra $50,000 for beheading Thomas Almeida in the main event (see it again here).

That violent finish is probably why we aren’t talking more about that spinning shit from Jake Collier (replay), who also bagged himself a pricey performance bonus by toe-tagging Alberto Uda. In the UFC Fight Night co-main event, Jeremy Stephens and Renan Barao scored “Fight of the Night” — and split $100,000 — for their three round slugfest (see it).

It was a wild night in Vegas.

Cha-ching!

As previously mentioned, each fighter above received an extra $50,000 for their performances, in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along later this week once Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is done crunching the numbers.
