After a busy weekend in “The Peach State,” Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business this Saturday (Aug. 6, 2016) for UFC Fight Night 92: “Rodriguez vs. Caceres,” which takes place inside Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, live on FOX Sports 1.

The promotion’s latest mixed martial arts (MMA) card will feature a compelling featherweight showdown pitting rising star Yair Rodriguez against dynamic Ultimate Fighter standout Alex Caceres. Elsewhere on the card, Dennis Bermudez and Rony Jason hook ’em up for 145-pound bragging rights.

Round 1: Sherman on the front foot as Ledet circles near the fence. Hard Sherman leg kick draws a smile, then another. 1-1-2 by Ledet hits home. Sherman eats a hard jab, lands a low kick, eats a right hand as they exchange. One minute in. Ledet’s jab is working extremely well so far. Good exchange in the center. Right cross from Ledet. Another huge right hand that Sherman shakes off. Another low kick from Sherman. Again. Again. Ledet’s feeling these. 3-2 by Ledet, answered by a low kick. Ledet with a right cross after eating a low kick. Ledet’s punches are much cleaner but his leg is getting ravaged. Nice right seems to rattle Sherman. Sherman to the body as he eats combinations to the head. Two minutes to go.

Sherman with some looping punches as he eats more jabs. Ledet finally checks a leg kick and lands a knee. 2-3-2 by Ledet, Sherman forces him back. Big right cross and a knee land on Sherman’s chin. 1-2 and Sherman answers with a right. One minute to go. Tight hook by Ledet. 1-2 knocks Sherman back. Low kick by Sherman. 10-9 Ledet.

Round 2: Good punching exchange. Ledet comes back with a 1-2. Again, Sherman whacks him with a low kick afterwards. Ledet’s jab remains a great weapon. One minute in. Sherman whacks him with a body kick and a counter left hand. Lead hook by Ledet. Yet another jab lands. Two minutes in. Sherman with a leg kick. Sherman’s nose is a mess and he eats a left hook as they trade. Sherman is visibly tired. Two minutes to go.

Ledet circles on the fence, pops him with a right hand. Knee to the body. Sherman digs a right downstairs. Ledet with jabs and left hooks. Sherman with a right hook and low kick. One minute to go. Sherman smiles as he eats a left hook. More jabs busting up his nose. Sherman shuffles back, exhausted, and Ledet clobbers him with a series of vicious punches. Sherman eats the entire barrage and continues plodding after him. 10-9 Ledet.

Round 3: Quick hook by Ledet. Sherman claims an eye poke, eats hooks for his trouble. Sherman tries a body kick, eats a left hook, lands a low kick. One minute in. Sherman tossing out kicks. He waves Ledet on, Ledet hangs back. Sherman backs him to the fence and flurries. Ledet circles off and cracks him with jabs. Two minutes in. Low kick by Sherman. Hard counter 3-2 from Ledet. Sherman eats a big 1-2 and sticks his tongue out. He’s talking smack as he’s getting smacked. Sherman tries a flurry and looks at the clock. Two minutes to go.

Counter right by Ledet bounces off Sherman’s face. Sherman flings out a tired right hook. One minute to go. Crowd not happy with Ledet’s passivity, so he lands a left hook. Another pair of left hooks. Sherman falls short with a leg kick. Sherman demands that Ledet stop retreating and they trade middle fingers before the bell. 10-9 Ledet.
