UFC Fight Night 98 video: Rafael dos Anjos ready for ‘war’ with ‘dangerous’ Tony Ferguson in Mexico City

For Rafael dos Anjos, his first fight back after coughing up his Lightweight title to Eddie Alvarez earlier this year won’t be a cake walk, facing off against Tony Ferguson in the UFC Fight Night 98 main event this weekend (Sat., Nov. 5, 2016) in Mexico City, Mexico.

It’s a necessary step “RDA” has to take if he wants to get back on the road to reclaiming his 155-pound strap. And defeating a man who is currently riding a division-best eight-fight win streak could be his ticket back to the big dance.

The Brazilian breaks down his upcoming bout:

“He’s a guy with eight wins straight. It’s not an easy thing to do. He’s a very slick fighter, takes risks and he comes to fight and he is a dangerous guy with a solid ground game. He’s a very unconventional fighter who throws spinning back elbows and knees. He’s going to come wide open and he has no idea what he’s in for. One punch can change the whole thing. I want to go out there and show the world I’m the true champion. It’s going to be a war.”

For his part, Ferguson is getting back to basics to finally get his own shot at the strap, one he feels he should have earned long ago. But, one more win could be the key for “El Cucuy,” and if he can do it against the ex-title holder, there should be no denying him.
