Take a look at the fight card and bout order for the Sunday, February 21st UFC Fight Night show on FS1 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Donald Cerrone’s welterweight debut vs. Alex Oliveira serves as the night’s main event.
It didn’t take long for Donald Cerrone to return to the Octagon after a devastatingly quick TKO loss to Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight title on December 19th. “Cowboy” was scheduled to make his welterweight debut vs. Tim Means at UFC Fight Night in Pittsburgh on February 21st, but Means has been pulled from the event due to a potential USADA anti-doping violation. With Cowboy in need of an opponent, the UFC called up Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira for the late-notice fight. So consider this upcoming event as UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Cowboy.
Also on tap for this event are middleweights Derek Brunson and Roan Carneiro, with the winner potentially headed for the top 10 in the rankings. Heavy-handed violence creator John Lineker will take on bantamweight prospect Cody Garbrandt in what should be a fun matchup. Dennis Bermudez makes his return against Japanese legend Tatsuya Kawajiri, Brandon Thatch seeks a much-needed win as he takes on Siyar Bahadurzada, and Shane Campbell faces James Krause in a lightweight battle.
