The UFC’s final trip to Brazil for 2017 is a Fight Night card in Sao Paulo on October 28th. By Fight Night standards, this is a terrific event with intriguing matchups from top to bottom. In the main event, former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida returns from his USADA suspension to take on heavy-handed middleweight contender Derek Brunson. The co-main event sees recent welterweight title challenger Demian Maia square off against rising prospect Colby Covington.
Looking at the rest of the main card, the bantamweight tilt between Rob Font and Pedro Munhoz figures to be a real quality fight. Speaking of bantamweights, John Lineker returns to the Octagon to battle Marlon Vera in the main card opener. Sandwiched between the bantamweight clashes are a lightweight encounter between Jim Miller and Francisco Trinaldo, plus middleweights Jack Hermansson and Thiago Santos.
