Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event in Liverpool, which is headlined by a welterweight bout between Stephen Thompson and Darren Till.

The headliner comes in the welterweight division, with Stephen Thompson entering enemy territory to take on hometown kid Darren Till. Till missed weight for the fight, but an agreement was made to keep the bout in place.
Today’s event is in the United Kingdom, and will take place much earlier in the day than your average UFC show. Live results and play-by-play will commence with the Fight Pass broadcast at 10:30am ET/7:30am PT for a single fight. The event will then flip over to FS1 for four more prelims starting at 11am ET, and then stay there for the full main card which goes down at 1pm ET. The full lineup and schedule follows.

Darren Till vs. Stephen Thompson
Round 1 – The crowd is insaanely loud for the hometown boy. Thompson snaps a head kick. Lots of feints. Inside leg kick from Thompson. Body kick from Wonderboy is blocked. Hop in. Hop out. Thompson switches stances and kicks the legs. Till comes forward and throws, but he’s mostly still feinting. Combination from Wonderboy. Till kicks the outside of the leg. Thompson with a body shot. Till spins. Thompson jumps in with a combo. Till with some leg kicks. 10-9 Thompson.
Round 2 – Till with a big left immediately. Wonderboy with a nice head kick. Side kick to the ribs from Thompson. Till lands in a brief clinch. More outside leg kicks from Till. He’s not putting everything on them though. Till with a lead straight left. Body shot. They trade in close again. Till with a few oblique kicks. Wonderboy counters with a right. Thompson is changing stances continually. Till feints and Wonderboy throws a head kick that misses. Till shakes his head like he baited him into that. Thompson with a side kick to the stomach. 10-9 Thompson.
Round 3 –
Round 1 – White with an outside leg kick. He gets a body lock, but Magny gets underhooks. White isn’t giving up easily though. They stall out against the cage. Magny reverses position. Magny gets his own body lock but he can’t drag White to the mat either. Cup check on White. Cornuts cam confirms. They get back to it after 45 seconds or so…and go right back to clinch work. Magny lands a knee and White changes levels, but Magny pushes him to the ground and steps right into mount. He got bucked off and returned to his feet though. Many is standing over him, kicking his legs and looking for a way to jump into his guard. Finally he just walks away and the referee stands them up. White charges forward with punches and they clinch again. Magny lands a knee to the face and White ends up on his back. Magny opens up with a barrage of fists and elbows, and White goes out. Game over.
Neil Magny defeated Craig White via TKO (strikes), 4:32 of round 1
Round 1 – Inside leg kick from Allen. Nice left too. Burnell with a wide right that connects. Hard left too. Another right. He’s piecing Allen up here. Allen fires back wit ha side kick and his own left. Burnell shoots in but Allen fights him off. Allen spins away. Burnell with a nice combo. Stiff body kick. Allen with a straight left and a leg kick. Burnell gets a takedown. He lands a couple of shots before Allen gets up. Burnell gets another brief takedown. Allen ends up on top right at the horn. 10-9 Burnell.
Round 2 – Uppercut from Allen. Burnell with an emphatic takedown and he’s working in half. Burnell could get much accomplished on the ground, but he had a bunch of top control time. Allen finally worked his way up, but gets dragged back down. He’s up and they reset halfway through the round. Allen is visibly frustrated as he gets taken down again. Burnell lands a few pitter-patter shots to stay active. Burnell tried to move to mount but Allen regained full guard. 10-9 Burnell.
Round 3 – Burnell jabbing and lands a left. Takedown within 20 seconds. Allen got up very fast this time but Burnell just plants him right back on his butt. More control time. Allen scampers up. Oh wait my bad, he’s back down. Allen’s back up, he reverses position and snatches up a front choke! Burnell taps! Holy comeback win!

Jason Knight vs. Makwan Amirkhani
Round 1 – Inside leg kick from Knight. Front kick too. Jab from Amirkhani. Amirkhani with a hard shot. A jump knee just misses. Knight falls back for a guillotine but forgot to secure it first. Amirkhani lands one good shot, then Knight escapes to his feet. Nice right from Amirkhani. Knight’s nose is bloody and he’s talking now. They both are. Lead uppercut and a right from Amirkhani. Knight presses forward. Amirkhani just throws him away. Inside leg kick from Knight. Knight with two front kicks to the leg. A big right drops Amirkhani! Knight jumps him and looks for the choke but slips off and Amirkhani is back up. Knight drops him again with another right uppercut! Somehow he ends up on the bottom, using rubber guard. This doesn’t seem wise. Amirkhani scrambles and Knight secures a triangle. It’s too late though, the round is over. 10-9 Knight. Great round.
Round 2 – Knight is talking a lot. “Your chin is weak, boy!” They brawl a bit on the inside. Front kick to the knee from Knight. More measured pace here so far. Jab from Amirkhani. Inside leg kick from Knight. They trade rights. Amirkhani with a nice counter right and he gets a takedown. They’re back up fairly quickly. Amirkhani with another right. He gets a body lock and throws Hick Diaz to the mat. Rubber guard from Knight again. 10-9 Amirkhani.
Round 3 – Amirkhani with a quick takedown. They completely stalled out there. Knight arguably landed the better shots from the bottom during a boring couple of minutes before a ref standup. Amirkhani looks for another takedown right away. Knight rolls through but just ended up on his back. Big shot from Amirkhani on the top. Knight is bleeding a bit more now. Knight tried to get up but Amirkhani landed a shot knee and the fight finished on the ground. 10-9 and 29-28 Amirkhani.

Claudio Silva vs. Nordine Taleb
Round 1 – Silva lands a right and clinches. Taleb quickly pushed him away. Body kick from Silva. Taleb with an inside leg kick. Taleb catches a body kick and powerslams Silva to the mat. He pops up right away. Body kick from Taleb. Silva with a left. Inside leg kick from Silva. Taleb looks for a takedown and lands a hard knee. Taleb with his own inside leg kick, but Silva grabbed the leg and dragged Taleb to the floor. Taleb looks for a leg lock. Silva defends and gets Taleb in an awkward position. He opens up with punches and moves to mount with 85 seconds left in the round. Silva postures up and drops hard elbows. Taleb gives up his back. Silva squeezes with more of a face crank than a choke, but he’s putting intense pressure on it. Taleb taps.

Eric Spicely vs. Darren Stewart
Round 1 – Stewart works the body. Body kick from Spicely. Nice right from Spicely. He’s in on a single. Stewart fights him off. Knee from Stewart but Spicely changes levels. He still can’t get Stewart to the floor. He gets some separation and they reset halfway through the round. Spicely with a leg kick. Stewart with a left, Spicely with a right hook. Solid left at the end of a combo from Spicely. Stewart has a small cut next to his eye. Jab from Spicely. Stewart with two of his own. Spicely with two outside leg kicks. Jump knee from Stewart. 10-9 Spicely.
Round 2 – They trade early. Stewart with a big right that Spicely did not like. Body jabs from Stewart. Spicely with an overhard right and a hard jab. Stewart stuns Spicely with a shot. Spicely backs off, but then fires back with an overhand right. Stiff left jab drops Spicely. Stewart is all over him, and it is over. Nice.
Darren Stewart defeated Eric Spicely via TKO (punches), 1:47 of round 2
Round 1 – Slow start. Breese firing off with his hands but Kelly’s high guard is absorbing the shots. Leg kick from Kelly. Kelly jabbing. Breese throwing power shots. Two nice lefts from Breese. Breese catches Kelly in the eye with an uppercut, and Kelly retreats. Breese chases him down, drops him with another punch, and finishes the fight. Totally legal shot and good finish.
Tom Breese defeated Daniel Kelly via TKO (punches), 3:33 of round 1
Round 1 – Lansberg gets a quick takedown. Mazany up. Mazany with a hard left as she clinches. Lansberg reverses and lands a couple of knees. They go back and forth. Two knees from Mazany. More knees from Lansberg. There’s not much of note going on here. The ref finally breaks them with 25 seconds to go. Mazany with a leg kick. Lansberg with a body kick. 10-9 Lansberg I guess.
Round 2 – Lansberg clinches. They battle there for a minute where nothing of consequence happens. Mazany with a brief takedown, but they just end up…in the clinch. Lansberg separates briefly, but then goes right back to the grind. They separate and Lansberg lands a good shot. Then go right back to the clinch. Mazany gets a pseudo-takedown, but can only get Lansberg to her butt for a few seconds before she pops up and reverses position. Elbow from Lansberg. The crowd is dead silent due to the continual clinch work. They finally separate and Mazany lands a front kick. 10-9 Mazany.
Round 3 – Weird, they clinched right away. I’m shocked. Not much happens for a minute or so there (again). They separate and Mazany lands a body kick. Lansberg delivers her own. Mazany with a spinning elbow. Lansberg ties her up. They trade knees and separate. Kick from Mazany. Stiff jab as Lansberg advances. Right hook from Mazany. Lansberg does as Lansberg does and clinches. Mazany gets some distance – for about two seconds. 10-9 and 29-28 Mazany. That fight was not good.
Lina Lansberg defeated Gina Mazany via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Brad Scott vs. Carlo Pedersoli Jr.
Round 1 – Front kick from Scott. Pedersoli with a straight left. Body kick from Scott. Overhand left from Pedersoli. Inside leg kick from Scott. Spinning wheel kick from Pedersoli grazes Scott’s face. Hard low kick from Scott. Pedersoli with a side kick. Body shot from Scott. A lot of single strikes so far. Pedersoli missing with a variety of kicks. Pedersoli with a fast right hook that connects. Body kick too. Scott cracks Pedersoli as he throws a kick and he goes down. Scott swarms but Pedersoli gets up. Scott with a step-in knee to the body. 10-9 Scott.
Round 2 – They trade hands early. Pedersoli has a head kick blocked. Pedersoli with a body shot. Pedersoli with a jab, Scott with a right hook. Body kicks from Pedersoli. Pedersoli scores with the overhand left. Scott with a hard inside leg kick. Scott returns it. Right hook from Scott. Pedersoli spins. An inside leg kick from Scott buckles Pedersoli briefly. Pedersoli with the cage-fed superman punch. Body kick from Scott. Pedersoli responds with his own. His left hook scores again too. Scott with a stiff jab and a body kick. Pedersoli with a beautifully-timed takedown off a Scott kick with 30 seconds to go. He can’t get much done on top. 10-9 Pedersoli.
Round 3 – Pedersoli with a long left and a leg kick. Scott with a leg kick. Pedersoli slaps him with a body kick. Side kick to the body now. Spinning hook kick misses. Pedersoli certainly has a kicking arsenal. Scott with a hard left jab. Again. Pedersoli with another body kick, and gets a takedown. Scott looks for a guillotine, and uses it to return to the feet almost immediately. Scott with a body shot. He cracks Pedersoli with a counter right. Pedersoli goes back to the body kick. Pedersoli with another takedown but Scott gets up right away. They engage in some clinch work against the cage for a few seconds. They trade single strikes. Pedersoli ducks under and gets a takedown. He manages to keep Scott there. 10-9 and 29-28 Pedersoli.
Carlo Pedersoli defeated Brad Scott via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
Gillian Robertson vs. Molly McCann
Round 1 – McCann with a pawing left. She’s pressuring. Robertson with a quick combo. Body shot from McCann. Big overhand right from the hometown lady. Robertson dives in on a single and gets the fight to the floor. She starts in half and passes out to side. McCann tries to scramble away but gets mounted with 1:40 to go. Robertson is trying to set up an armbar with punches. Now she has the back. McCann spins away briefly but gets mounted again. Now back control again. 10-9 Robertson.
Round 2 – McCann attacks but Robertson avoids. Robertson grabs a leg and basically pulls guard, but ends up on top. She immediately moves to mount. Robertson takes a little while but is able to secure a choke. McCann goes to sleep but doesn’t tap.

Elias Theodorou vs. Trevor Smith
Round 1 – Theodorou clinches up right away. Smith spins him around on the cage. Theodorou reverses and lands a couple of knees. Smith dives on the legs, looking for a takedown. Theodorou defends and they continue their clinch battle. Theodorou finally creates some space and punches his way out of the clinch halfway through the round. Not for long though, and Smith initiates the clinch this time. Uppercut from Elias on the break. Low leg kick from Smith. Theodorou responds with a knee. Smith with a left and they clinch again. They battle for position against the cage and in the middle. Elias lands a left as they break before the end of the round. 10-9 Theodorou.
Round 2 – Body kick from Theodorou. Inside leg kick from Smith. They clinch again. Smith looking for a takedown. And he gets it. Theodorou gets up quick. More clinch work. They trade knees and break, briefly. Smith can’t score a trip takedown. Back in the clinch yet again. The ref breaks them to give Smith back his mouthpiece. He puts them back where they were, and Smith lands an immediate know. Theodorou steps back and lands a combination, then goes right back to the grind. The ref randomly breaks them, even though they were working. Theodorou with a hard knee and standing elbow. They clinch again, and Theodorou catches a shot because he’s bleeding over the eye. It was from a clash of heads. The doc checks it and he’s deemed good to go. Theodorou with an uppercut in close. They trade knees again. 10-9 Theodorou.
Round 3 – Smith pressures right away. Side kick from Theodorou and a spinning back fist. After a brief clinch, Theodorou breaks and tries to reset, but Smith chases him down and kicks his legs pretty hard. Theodorou with a combo as Smith engages the clinch. Smith gets a takedown. He smothers Theodorou as he tries to get up. After about 30 seconds, Theodorou succeeds in getting up. Smith digs for a takedown again but Theodorou ends up on top briefly. He’s got the back, but Smith stands up. They separate with 40 seconds to go, but…surprise! They clinch again right away. Theodorou is leaning on Smith. Another break. Hard elbow. 10-9 Smith, but 29-28 Theodorou.
