UFC fighter rankings: Lightweight, strawweight shook up by UFC Oklahoma City

Kevin Lee and Felice Herrig made big jumps in this week’s UFC rankings.

UFC Oklahoma City was a strange event, and even though the main event ended without a tap, the rankings were definitely affected by the result. The middle of the lightweight division was flipped around a fair amount with Kevin Lee’s win over Michael Chiesa, while Felice Herrig’s dominant (and kind of gross) win helped her achieve new heights in the women’s strawweight division.

Here’s a look at all the changes for this week.

P4P – No changes.

Heavyweight – Timothy Johnson moved up one to 12, bumping Andrei Arlovski to 13.

Light Heavyweight – No changes.

Middleweight – Tim Boetsch re-entered the rankings at 14 after his win over Johny Hendricks. Sam Alvey dropped one to 15.

Welterweight – Dong Hyun Kim continues to fall, dropping two spots to 11. Colby Covington (who beat Kim) and Rafael dos Anjos moved up to nine and ten respectively.

Lightweight – Nate Diaz moved up one spot to six. Kevin Lee’s big (albeit controversial) win over Michael Chiesa bumped him up four spots from 11 to 7. Chiesa dropped three spots from six to nine. Beneil Dariush dropped two spots to 11. James Vick entered the rankings for the first time at 15.

Featherweight – No changes.

Bantamweight – No changes.

Flyweight – Dustin Ortiz moved into a tie for nine with John Moraga.

Women’s Bantamweight – Katlyn Chookagian moved up one spot to 13, dropping Betha Correia to 14.

Women’s Strawweight – Carla Esparza’s UFC Oklahoma City win over Maryna Moroz moved her up one spot to seven. That dropped Joanne Calderwood to eight. Felice Herrig enters the top 10, moving up three spots to 10. Paige VanZant moved up one spot to 11. Moroz dropped two spots to 12, while Cortney Casey dropped two spots as well to 13.
