Here’s how Twitter reacted to Anthony Joshua rallying from the first knockdown of his career to TKO Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000+ at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Anthony Joshua had never gone past round 7 in his entire career heading into Saturday’s Heavyweight title bout vs. Wladimir Klitschko, and it looked as if he was going to end up losing by knockout in the 6th round. After rebounding from the knockdown at the midway point of their back-and-forth thriller, having previously knocked Klitschko down in the 5th, Joshua found a second wind and dropped the Ukrainian twice more in the 11th round. With Klitschko out on his feet, Joshua was able to get the TKO finish in front of over 90,000 rabid fans at Wembley Stadium.
This was an unforgettable night for boxing. It was one of the best heavyweight title fights in a long time. Klitschko turned in a solid performance in a losing effort, while Joshua overcame serious adversity to notch the biggest win of his career in the richest fight in British boxing history. Here’s how Twitter reacted, with a mixture of current and former UFC fighters, along with some of the top names in boxing.
