UFC flyweight fighter Sarah Alpar needs our help.

So you wanna be a UFC fighter? As many would know, it’s not as glamorous as it is probably pictured to be.

Case in point: flyweight Sarah Alpar. The 30-year-old fighter recently set up a GoFundMe page to help her shoulder training expenses and even some of her necessities.

What this does is it helps me to be able to travel, take care of gym fees, to be able to afford food. Anything.

I’m working, going to school, I’m training, I’m putting in at least over 65 hours a week in these things. And I wanna make this happen. I want to go so far in the UFC and I cannot do it without you.

If you want to donate even $5, $10, anything is so helpful in order for me to be able to focus on training and to be able to win my next fight.

I would like to make a goal of $1,000 by July 1st. Let’s make this happen, you guys. I need your help. I need your help.

Fighter pay is one of the long-standing issues linked to the UFC, and it’s an issue that’s been once again highlighted thanks to the recent YouTuber boxing spectacles. Even former champions who’ve been long retired are speaking out.

Alpar hasn’t fought since September 2020 when she lost via third-round TKO to Jessica-Rose Clark. She was supposed to make her 125-pound debut against Erin Blanchfield in May, but the fight was rebooked for UFC 266 on September 4th.

For the kind-hearted souls who wish to donate, here is a link to Alpar’s GoFundMe campaign. It’s so far raised $888 as of this writing, and she hopes to eventually be able to train full-time.
