Longtime UFC bantamweight veteran Pedro Munhoz is ranked in the Top 5 at 135 pounds, winning seven of his last 10 and scoring five nasty finishes along the way. Those are the kind of credentials that are good enough for the UFC Vegas 7 main event.
But apparently not good enough for the UFC 4 video game.
Munhoz, 33, did not make the cut for the Aug. 14 release, planned for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE consoles. And not surprisingly, the 18-4 “Punisher” is a little chafed over the exclusion after putting together one of the better runs in his division.
“That’s some bullshit, man,” Munhoz told Line Movement. “It just sucks. It’s something that I cannot control. I’ve been in the UFC since 2014, next year it’s going to be seven years. I’ve fought the best fighters in the division and I compete in every one of my fights. But I think it’s not how good you are. I think it’s how many followers you have, you know?”
Munhoz, looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 238, will headline the UFC Vegas 7 event opposite former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar on Sat., Aug. 22, 2020 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
