UFC Jacksonville video highlights: Teixeira crushes Smith

Check out the full-fight video highlights of Glover Teixeira stopping Anthony Smith in the fifth round from the UFC Jacksonville main event.

UFC Jacksonville was the setting where the promotion’s #8 ranked 205-pounder, Glover Teixeira, upset the #3 ranked, Anthony Smith, with a fifth round TKO. This was a wild one. Smith started strong, throwing long strikes and taking it right to Teixeira. It was about halfway into the second round when the tide started to turn. Glover began to land heavy bombs that hurt and dropped Smith. The following round got even worse for Smith. Teixeira landed more heavy leather on the feet, and then added to the strike count on the ground. Smith was quickly hurt in the fourth round, and although landed some descent strikes himself, spent a lot fo time in survival mode.

Round 5 – Smith says he’s lost a tooth. He’s coming out for the fifth. Teixeira with some lefts. More jabs. Smith just backs off. Big left. Smith tries to shoot but Glover ends up on top. Elbows from Glover are mostly blocked. He’s in side and gets to mount with four minutes to go. He opens up with punches and it’s over.
