Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White promised serious roster cuts back in December, and it appears the promotion is not done trimming the fat just yet. This latest round of goodbyes resulted in the separation of another 12 fighters.
Including The Ultimate Fighter: “Brazil 3” winner Antonio Carlos Junior (7-5 UFC).
The list also includes Carlton Minus (0-2 UFC), Peter Barrett (0-2 UFC), Spike Carlyle (1-2 UFC), Anthony Ivy (0-2 UFC), Jacob Kilburn (0-2 UFC), Sarah Moras (3-6 UFC), Vinicius Moreira (0-4 UFC), Markus Perez (2-5 UFC), Cole Williams (0-2 UFC), Rhys McKee (0-2 UFC), and Vanessa Melo (1-3 UFC), according to reports from MMA Junkie and MMA Fighting.
Junior, 30, is probably the most notable name on the list. “Shoe Face” debuted as a heavyweight roughly seven years back, racking up a 7-2 record (1 NC) before dropping three straight bouts in the middleweight division.
The Brazilian was recently outpointed by Brad Tavares at UFC 257 last month in Abu Dhabi.
