As you might expect, expectations are lowered when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) brings a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card to Sunday afternoon, as it did with UFC Fight Night 130: “Thompson vs. Till” last weekend in Liverpool, England.
Maybe it should raise them.
The FOX Sports 1 broadcast averaged 552,000 eyeballs with a headlining peak of 811,000 viewers, making it the highest-rated show in the 18-49 demo and the most-watched event on cable television during that main event period, according to MMA Fighting, beating last years UFC Fight Night 109: “Gustafsson vs. Teixeira,” also on Sunday.
The FOX Sports 1 “Prelims” pulled an average of 308,000, while the post-fight show returned 392,000. FSGO and FOX Now added 10,224 (main card) and 5,450 (preliminary card) looks for those folks streaming the event on their computer or mobile devices.
