The UFC’s middleweight champion has a new management team.
Chris Weidman has signed with Paradigm Sports Management for full-service representation, Weidman told MMAFighting.com. Within MMA, Paradigm represents the likes of Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, Matt Mitrione and Tony Ferguson, among many others.
“After visiting with their full staff and seeing their office in Orange County, California,” Weidman stated, “it made it clear that this is a company who takes their business very seriously and has what it takes to give me 100 percent every day, which I feel I deserve.
“After meeting with many management groups, I feel like they were the best fit for me and my family. “
Weidman (12-0) is scheduled to defend his middleweight title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 187 on May 23.
“Chris is at the highest level of professional mixed martial arts and is a recognized athlete throughout the world,” Paradigm MMA Management president Audie Attar stated. “Upon meeting Chris and his wife Marivi I was so impressed by their humility and genuine nature, which is coupled with an amazing drive and work ethic. You do not become a champion overnight or by accident, and Chris embodies a Champion’s spirit. We are excited to work with such a strong, growing personality and athlete in 2015 and beyond.”
PSM will work alongside Brad Slater of William Morris Endeavor, who also serves as Weidman’s agent.
