Minnesota Office of Combative Sports has dropped the suspension hammer for those combatants competing at last Sat. night’s (June 29, 2019) UFC on ESPN 3 mixed martial arts (MMA) event from inside Target Center in Minneapolis.

The longest suspensions went to Maurice Greene and Vinicius Moreira, who got slapped with six months apiece. The commission has not disclosed the specific injuries that felled both fighters, but “The Crochet Boss” will need X-rays before he can return, whereas “Mamute” will require a CT scan.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
