A ‘radio style’ play-by-play broadcast of the UFC Minneapolis main card.
The UFC is putting two of the most prolific heavyweight knockout artists in the history of MMA in the octagon as the main event of the promotion’s third main card effort on ESPN. Francis ‘The Predator’ N’Gannou has barely accumulated more than one minute of cage time in his last two fights; knocking out Cain Velasquez and Curtis Blaydes in back-to-back contests. Junior dos Santos has been known for his finishing ability for almost a decade, but most recently put away Tai Tuivasa and Derrick Lewis, consecutively. There is very little doubt that when they go toe-to-toe as the headlining attraction at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota that one man will be taking a short canvas nap.
While it is highly likely that the final fight of the evening will deliver a sensational amount of violence, the rest of the card isn’t the best that the world’s premiere MMA promotion has ever offered up. For that reason, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t feel like dedicating your Saturday to this event. Instead, perhaps, you’d like to listen to the main card on the radio whilst hanging out with your friends or family.
An official UFC radio broadcast doesn’t exist, but we’ve got your back. Throughout the main card portion of the event, in the video player above, Brian will do his best to keep fight fans informed on the moment-to-moment action happening in Minneapolis, MN that you might otherwise miss.
June will moderate your live chat, laying the ‘ban hammer’ down on those pesky spammers and link beggars, as well as offering support to Brian throughout the show with factoids, bonus updates and adding results in full detail, to the chat and description, as well as right here in this post as the main event unfolds.
Here’s what’s in store for the UFC on ESPN 3 main card, this list will be updated with LIVE RESULTS throughout the MAIN EVENT:
- 265 – Francis N’Gannou (13-3-0) vs. Junior Dos Santos (21-5-0)
