Francis Ngannou quickly stopped Junior dos Santos with strikes in the UFC Minneapolis main event.
The UFC Minneapolis main event just witnessed the company’s #2 ranked heavyweight Francis Ngannou dust the former champion Junior dos Santos in the first-round.
Ngannou opened the bout with a set of leg kicks that hit their mark. JDS returned one hard one that buckled Ngannou. Back on his feet, Ngannou blasted JDS with a right hand that dropped him and went in for the kill. A sinister barrage of ground strikes came crashing down to a dazed JDS. The referee had no choice but to stop the fight.
Ngannou has now won three-straight, all by way of knockout. In his post-fight interview, Ngannou stated that he wanted to face the winner of the upcoming rematch between the champion Daniel Cormier and the former champ Stipe Miocic. It’s really hard to make a case against him after consecutive victories over Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, and now dos Santos.
