Or maybe those were just the voices in his head.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, believes he’s the real Bad Mother Fucker (BMF) in mixed martial arts (MMA), which is why the promotion asked him to design the belt that will match that one-off title.
Perhaps the power-punching Irishman forgot he was submitted by Nate Diaz, who will fight Jorge Masvidal for the BMF belt in the UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV) main event in November, or that he hasn’t competed since getting tapped out by Khabib Nurmagomedov in fall 2018.
“I designed that ‘Bad Mother Fucker’ belt,” McGregor said (via MMA Junkie). “I actually designed that. I signed off on the design of how they are creating that belt. So most certainly that belt was brought into fruition, brought to life because of me: the real Bad Mother Fucker. So most certainly one of those men is on my radar.”
McGregor, 31, fought just once over the last three years and continues to waste his fighting prime on outside endeavors like Irish whiskey and elder abuse, probably because he already made his millions as a cage fighter (and part-time boxer).
I don’t think anyone begrudges “Notorious” for making bank and then jumping ship, something this “rich prick” did back in 2017, but this is the fight game and if you’re gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk.
Otherwise you’re no longer “the man.”
