This Saturday’s, Feb, 29th., UFC on ESPN+ Fight Night event from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The guys will have hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall event. This event showcased a main event World Flyweight Championship bout between Joesph ‘The Beefcake’ Benavidez & Deiveson ‘Deus da Guerra’ Figueiredo – however, only Benavidez was actually eligible to win the title since Figueiredo failed to make weight this week – so in the end no one walked off with a belt after Figueiredo devastatingly knocked out Benavidez in the second round; we also had the Feenom – Felicia Spencer going up against Zarah ‘Infinite’ Fairn in the co-main event of the night, which lasted all of 3:37 into Round 1 before Felicia finished Zarah via KO/TKO, Ground & Pound, Amanda Nunes immediately tweeted out that she was ready for either Felicia or Megan – so we will have to wait and see what Dana decides to do with these ladies.
Leading up to the main and co-main we had a mixture of three finishes and four decisions on the Preliminary Card and a submission clinic given to us by Grant Dawson and Darrick Minner in the main card opener, we followed that up with a massive Right Cross delivered from Megan Anderson knocking out Norma ‘The Immortal’ Dumont right on the button, Megan stating post-fight that she is ready to “f—king” go up against Amanda Nunes for the belt… was that the end of the excitement? No way, next we had a massive controversial 38-second stoppage which granted Magomed Ankalaev a win against Ion Cutelaba because he was “wobbly” although still in the fight — Ion immediately contested the decision…. what a night of fights we have to discuss with you!
