Check out which fighters won performance bonuses from UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker

The Apex Fight Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker. The card saw two (T)KOs, four submissions and four decisions.

The undercard kicked off with a spirited fight between Youssef Zalal and Jordan Griffin, but it would be Zalal that would take the unanimous decision. Kay Hansen findingsuccess via a sweet triangle armbar in her UFC debut over fellow newcomer Jinh Yu Frey, Tanner Boser catching Philipe Lins with a nasty overhand followed by several more bombs to score a first-round KO, and Khama Worthy ending Luis Pena’s night early with a third-round guillotine choke.

The main card opened with the biggest underdog on the bout sheet, Julian Erosa, scoring a third-round D’Arce choke over Sean Woodson. That was followed up with a quick, 48-second TKO of Jason Witt by Takashi Sato, Brendon Allen and Kyle Daukaus putting on a highly entertaining scrap that saw Allen take a unanimous decision, Maurice Greene, despite being shot throught the eye, managing to score an arm triangle choke over Gian Villante, and Mike Perry going the distance with Mickey Gall, snagging a unanimous decision victory in the process.

The main event was absolutely as advertised with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker putting forth a battle for the ages. Hooker won the first two rounds by my scoring, and Poirier took the last three. This is surely another candidate for FOTY, and I feel richer for having been able to watch it.

Performance of the Night: Kay Hansen, Julian Erosa

Kay Hansen (triangle armbar, 2:26 of round 3), Tanner Boser (KO (strikes), 2:41 of round 1), Khama Worthy (guillotine choke, 2:53 of round 3), Julian Erosa (D’Arce choke, 2:44 of round 3), Takashi Sato (TKO (strikes) :48 of round 1), and Maurice Greene (arm triangle, 3:42 of round 3) all finished their respective fights before horn but it would be Kay Hansen and Julian Erosa taking the $50K bonus checks tonight.

Fight of the Night: Dustin Poirier vs. Dan Hooker

Youssef Zalal (29-28, 29-28, 29-28), Brendan Allen (29-28, 29-27, 30-27), Mike Perry (29-28 x3), and Dustin Poirier (48-47 x2, 48-46) all went the distance, but it would be Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker taking the FOTN bonus money.
