Check out the reported fight purses for UFC on ESPN: Poirier vs. Hooker.
Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker put on a five-round war that will go down as one of MMA’s best fights of 2020. The winner of the bout was going to have the highest purse on the entire card, and obviously that proved to be Poirier. In his first fight since losing to champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, “The Diamond” banked $300,000 ($150,000/$150,000) to be far and away the night’s highest earner. Dan Hooker was guaranteed six figures in defeat, but $220,000 sounds a hell of a lot better than $110,000.
Your next highest earner is Mike Perry, whose win over Mickey Gall saw his money double from $90,000 to $180,000. Gall is on a $50,000/$50,000 deal, which may certainly explain some of the matchmaking he’s been getting (including cancelled bouts).
No one else cleared six figures even if you factored in post-fight bonuses. This is not surprising when you consider the number of newcomers, prospects, and generally unranked fighters on the event.
Here are the full reported payouts, per the Nevada State Athletic Commission. s usual, we must note that this does not include Reebok sponsorship money, post-fight bonuses, discretionary bonuses, etc.
