Colby Covington gives his take on tonight’s main event between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker.
Can Dustin Poirier rebound from his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov by beating Dan Hooker at UFC on ESPN 12? Colby Covington certainly seems to think so.
‘Chaos’ expects former teammate ‘Soirier’ to outstrike ‘The Australian Hooker’ in tonight’s UFC on ESPN 12 main event.
(Note: Hooker is from New Zealand, not Australia.)
“Greeting, nerds and virgins. America’s champ is back with America’s pick of the week. Brought to you by Colby Covington Inc and the undisputed king of the sportsbook, MyBookie.Ag. Usually when we are talking about hookers getting being beat in Las Vegas, we are talking about my roommate Jon Jones. But tonight, we are talking about the President of my fan club Dustin Soyier. And, luckily for him, there is going to be no wrestling involved. So go make sure you bet that money line and stimulate those bank accounts,” Covington said.
Hooker is riding a three-fight win streak and believes a win over Poirier should put him in line for a title shot against the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje at UFC 253. Poirier, on the other hand, is looking to prove to the world why he’s still one of the best lightweight fighters in the game and believes a win over ‘The Hangman’ inches him closer to a rematch with Nurmagomedov.
UFC on ESPN 12 takes place tonight, June 27, at the UFC APEX Center in Las Vegas.
