Two fighters received indefinite medical suspensions in the wake of Saturday night’s UFC on FOX 11 event, according to information released to mixedmartialarts.com by the Florida State Boxing Commission.
Liz Carmouche, who dropped a unanimous decision to Miesha Tate in the night’s co-main event, will be sidelined indefinitely and require orthopedic clearance on her right wrist before returning to action, while undercard fighter Jack May received a similar suspension and will require neurological clearance.
Six additional fighters received extended medical suspensions due to injuries sustained at UFC on FOX 11, including heavyweight headliner Travis Browne.
Browne will be out a minimum of 90 days after suffering a broken nose and cut over his right eye during his five-round bout against Fabricio Werdum.
