Jorge Masvidal likes to create space and open up his offense. Pat Healy likes to take the fight in close.
Turns out Masvidal not only got the best of his own game, but at Healy’s as well. Masvidal dominated the veteran on Saturday in their lightweight showdown at UFC on FOX 11 in Orlando. The judges scores were a pair of 30-27s and a 29-28.

Healy, in true old-school Team Quest style, did his best to clinch Masvidal along the fence and work him over, but Masvidal managed to neutralize him and hold off most of his takedown attempts. When the fight got out to center Octagon, he picked Healy apart with solid jabs.
By round three, it was clear Healy needed to do something desperate to take the fight, but he was never able to get untracked.
The veteran Blackzilian fighter improved to 26-8, with his 14th career decision win.
“I train with the best I don’t have a problem wrestling,” said Masvidal. “I’ve never been on my back more than 20 seconds so I don’t mind having my back against the cage.”
It could be the end of the line for Healy (31-19, 1 NC) in the UFC, as he dropped his third straight fight.
