UFC on FOX 13 weigh-in results: Nate Diaz badly misses weight
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Friday’s UFC on FOX 13 weigh-ins went off without a hitch, except for one glaring exception.
Lightweight co-headliner Nate Diaz badly missed ahead of his scheduled bout against Rafael dos Anjos, tipping the scales at 160.6, more than four pounds over the division’s 156-pound limit.
UFC officials confirmed to MMAFighting.com that Diaz will not attempt a second chance to make weight. 20-percent of his purse will be forfeited to dos Anjos, who successfully weighed in at 156 pounds.
All 24 other fighters on the card met their required weight, including heavyweight headliners Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic. dos Santos came in at a trim 242 pounds, while Miocic outdid him by a single pound, tipping the scales at 243.
