Just 24 years old, Myles Jury continues to put his name forward as a prospect to watch. Staying unbeaten, Jury crushed Ramsey Nijem in a first-round knockout at UFC on FOX 7.

The end came at 1:02 of the second round.

The finish came on a counter right hand. As Nijem charged forward with little in the way of defense, Jury circled to his right and out of danger, then quickly planted his feet and blasted Nijem with a right hand.

Nijem was unconscious before he hit the ground, but Jury didn’t take any chances, diving in for an overhand right reminiscent of Dan Henderson’s coup de grace against Michael Bisping at UFC 100.

The two fought an evenly matched first round heavy on grappling before the fight-ending strike. Earlier in the second round, Jury struck Nijem with illegal fingers to the eye. Ref John McCarthy saw the infraction and gave Nijem time to recover, and it wasn’t long afterward until the fight was over.

Jury is now 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the UFC. The win snapped a three-fight win streak for Nijem, now 7-3.
