Monday, the Minnesota Office of Combative Sports released fighter pay information from the UFC on FX 5 event, held on Oct. 5 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Welterweight Jake Ellenberger was the event’s top earner. He pocketed $84,000 for his decision victory over Jay Hieron, doubling his $42,000 base pay with his win bonus.

Main eventer Antonio Silva was next on the list. The heavyweight earned a flat $70,000 fee for his first-round knockout of Travis Browne.

The list does not include paydays from the bout’s two canceled fights: Dennis Hallman vs. Brad Tavares and Jeremy Stephens vs. Yves Edwards. MMAFighting previously reported that Hallman, who was released from his UFC contract the day before the event in order to attend to personal issues, received his win and show money; Tavares and Edwards both received their contracted show money. It is unclear at this point whether Stephens, who is currently incarcerated in Iowa, was compensated.

Publicly available payday figures include only contracted fight purses. They do not include other compensation such as UFC post-fight bonuses (Fight of the Night, etc.), discretionary bonuses, or fees paid for promotional work leading up to the event.
