Five fighters joined UFC® executive Marshall Zelaznik at the UFC® on FX post-fight press conference: Vitor Belfort, Daniel Sarafian, CB Dollaway, Ildemar Alcantara and Gabriel Gonzaga.
Headliner Belfort earned Knockout of the Night for his second-round finish of Michael Bisping. After stunning his opponent with punches late in the first round, “The Phenom” changed things up in the second frame, landing a head kick that sent Bisping crashing to the canvas. Belfort followed up with a few strikes on the ground before the referee stepped in to the end the bout.
Newcomer Alcantara made the most of his Octagon debut, taking home Submission of the Night for his win over fellow Brazilian Wagner Prado. Despite being a late replacement, Alcantara looked sharp throughout the fight. Once the fight hit the mat in the second round, Alcantara worked quickly for a leg lock, forcing a screaming Prado to tap.
Middleweights Dollaway and Sarafian received Fight of the Night for their back-and-forth brawl. Sarafian seemed to be in control for most of the first round, but was nearly finished late in the second stanza. With the fight on the line going into the final round, both men engaged in an exciting scrap that saw several momentum shifts. Ultimately, Dollaway was awarded the split decision victory, much to the dismay of the Brazilian crowd.
All bonused fighters earned $50,000 for their efforts.
