BROOMFIELD, Colo. – The UFC’s first-ever event on Versus, “UFC on Versus 1: Vera vs. Jones” drew a sell-out crowd of 6,443 attendees for a live gate of $568,125 according to UFC president Dana White.
The March 21 event, which featured a light heavyweight main event
between rising star Jon Jones and perennial contender Brandon Vera,
took place at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., and aired live.
The evening’s co-feature saw another rising star, Junior Dos Santos, earn a knockout win over Gabriel Gonzaga.
