Check out this stream for information regarding which political causes and campaigns the UFC and their key personnel contribute to.
The UFC has been giving money to politicians and political parties since the dark ages of MMA. Back then they didn’t have much to spend and thus weren’t able to affect any serious change.
In the Fertitta-era the UFC upped their game when it came to political donations. They funded allies for their fight to keep MMA legal across the US and contributed to lobbying efforts to beef up copyright laws and fight against the Ali Act.
During this era money also went to politicians and groups that were inline with the political leanings of the promotion’s leaders; The Fertitta brothers and Dana White.
Since the multi-billion dollar sale to WME | IMG the UFC has become a bona fide mainstream entertainment franchise. Fights are now broadcast under the Disney umbrella and there is more money in the UFC’s coffers than ever before.
Coinciding with this increase in profit and popularity, there has been an increase in political spending from the organization and at least one of its key personnel.
This stream displays articles that focus on where ZUFFA-linked money is going within the U.S. political system.
