Will the real knockout artist please stand up?
After failing to capture the crown as the top contender at 125 pounds, John Dodson will return to the bantamweight division in the five-round headliner of the UFC Fight Night 96 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which takes place Sat., Oct. 1, 2016 inside Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dodson (18-7) has nine wins by way of knockout/technical knockout, which means 50-percent of his opponents end up kissing the canvas. Lineker (28-7), by comparison, has slightly more at 13, but just a dash under in terms of percentages. It’s so close you could flip a coin on this one.
But as “The Magician” said in the preview above, “speed kills.”
In the UFC Fight Night 96 co-main event on FOX Sports 1, Bellator MMA import Will Brooks and Alex Oliveira collide in a fun lightweight scrap, while Josh Burkman and Zak Ottow try to prove they’re still relevant in the stacked 155-pound division.
