Cub Swanson is unranked for the first time in many years.
The UFC’s show in Ottawa was relatively light on relevance, but it did deliver some decent fights. Donald Cerrone’s career resurrection at lightweight continued, and another big victory moved him back into the top five at 155 pounds.
Meanwhile at featherweight, rankings stalwart Cub Swanson is nowhere to be seen for seemingly the first time since the rankings started. A loss to Shane Burgos was enough for him to drop from the ten spot all the way off the list.
Here’s a look at all of the changes coming out of UFC Ottawa.
P4P – No changes.
Heavyweight – Justin Willis dropped from a tie for 11 into 12 on his own.
Light Heavyweight – No changes.
Middleweight – Elias Theodorou fell two spots to 15 after his tepid performance against Derek Brunson. This allowed Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva to move up one spot each to 13 and 14.
Welterweight – No changes.
Lightweight – Cerrone moved up four spots to four after his big win over Al Iaquinta. Ragin’ Al dropped two spots to six. Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza dropped one spot each to seven and eight respectively.
Featherweight – Ricardo Lamas, Yair Rodriguez, and the Korean Zombie all moved up a spot to 10 through 12 respectively. Burgos enters the rankings at 13. As mentioned, Swanson is gone.
Bantamweight – No changes.
Flyweight – No changes.
Women’s Bantamweight – Macy Chiasson’s win moved her up four spots into the top ten. Irene Aldana, Tonya Evinger, Bethe Correia, and Lina Lansberg all fell a spot to take over 11 through 14.
Women’s Flyweight – No changes.
Women’s Strawweight – No changes.
