The UFC on Fox show in Calgary maybe didn’t provide the action people were hoping four outside of the two top fights, but there were a lot of interesting bouts that had an effect on the rankings of multiple divisions.

Dustin Poirier’s emphatic finish of Eddie Alvarez puts him right below the Khabib/Conor/Ferguson trio, all but guaranteeing he should be fighting one of them next. The results also produced a new contender in the women’s flyweight division, and saw another lady crack the women’s strawweight top ten.

Without further ado, here are the changes for this week.

P4P – Lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov moves up one spot to eight, bumping former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic down to nine.

Heavyweight – No changes.

Light Heavyweight – Sam Alvey cracks the rankings at number 15.

Middleweight – No changes.

Welterweight – No changes.

Lightweight – McGregor is the number one contender again for some reason, despite not fighting in forever. That drops Tony Ferguson one spot to two. Poirier takes over Alvarez’s spot at three, dropping Eddie to four. Nate Diaz fell two spots into a tie for ten with James Vick, allowing Al Iaquinta to move up to nine.

Featherweight – Josh Emmett fell from a tie with teammate Chad Mendes at six down to seven on his own.

Bantamweight – No changes.

Flyweight – No changes.

Women’s Bantamweight – No changes.

Women’s Flyweight – Katlyn Chookagian’s win over Alexis Davis made her a legitimate title challenger, moving her up four big spots into the three position. Roxanne Modafferi is also up one to four. Liz Carmouche is down one to five. Davis fell three slots to six. Lauren Murphy is down one to seven.

Womens’s Strawweight – Nina Ansaroff’s decision win over Randa Markos saw her move up three spots to ten. That dropped Cortney Casey, Alexa Grasso, and Markos down one each, to 11-13 respectively. Angela Hill is up one to 14. Joanne Calderwood is down one to 15.
