Last weekend’s UFC event saw a new 205-pound contender emerge.

UFC Vegas 8 was another card that was badly hurt by injuries, and featured one of the least relevant (and least exciting) main cards in recent history. There were two bright spots though, at least from a rankings perspective.

Aleksandar Rakic grinded his way into 205-pound contendership with a win over former title challenger Anthony Smith in the headliner. And Neil Magny decisioned former welterweight king Robbie Lawler in the co-main.

Here are the few changes to the rankings coming out of the event.

Men’s P4P – No changes.

Heavyweight – Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich flip-flopped the 13 and 14 spots.

Light Heavyweight – Rakic moved up three to take over the five spot. Smith dropped three to eight. Shogun Rua moved up into a tie for 13 with Magomed Ankalaev.

Middleweight – No changes.

Welterweight – Magny is up three to 11. Nate Diaz and Lawler fall one each to 12 and 13. Amusingly….Neil Magny is up one to 14. That’s clearly an error. Anthony Pettis drops two to 15.

Lightweight – No changes.

Featherweight – No changes.

Bantamweight – No changes.

Flyweight – No changes.

Women’s P4P – No changes.

Women’s Bantamweight – No changes.

Women’s Flyweight – More blunders. Alexis Davis drops one into a tie for 12 with…herself? What the hell? Alexa Grasso enters the list at 14.

Women’s Strawweight – No changes.
