Slim pickins’ in the UFC rankings this week in terms of changes.
In a year of largely irrelevant smaller UFC cards, last weekend’s might have been the most irrelevant of them all. The event did manage to keep 12 fights intact, which is more than normal lately. But the main event was scrapped, bumping Michelle Waterson and Angela hill into the headlining spot.
The ladies did not disappoint, going to a close and exciting split decision that Waterson won. Despite that, neither of them moved in the rankings. And not many others on the card did either. About the only thing of note that changed was Tony Ferguson slightly dipping in the P4P rankings, and that had nothing to do with this card. But when that’s the biggest change of the week? Yeah, you’re not looking at the most exciting article ever.
Here are the changes coming out of UFC Vegas 10.
Men’s P4P – El Cucuy drops one to 14. This allowed Deiveison Figueiredo to move up one to 13.
Heavyweight – Augusto Sakai drops one from a tie for nine to take over ten on his own. Blagoy Ivanov moved up one into a tie for 12 with Sergei Pavlovich. Cyril Gane drops one to 14.
Light Heavyweight – No changes.
Middleweight – Chris Weidman continues to creep up the ladder, flip-flopping spots with Uriah Hall to move to nine.
