UFC Rochester highlights: Rafael dos Anjos out-grinds and submits Kevin Lee

The UFC’s former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos submitted welterweight newcomer Kevin Lee in the fourth round of the UFC Rochester main event.

The fight got started right away, with the fighters banging it out for the opening moments. Lee switched gears and started to grind away, spamming takedown attempts against the fence. RDA flipped the script and began to work his own takedown game. Come round four, RDA was winning the war of attrition, and a gassed Lee botched a takedown that set up the fight’s finishing sequence. RDA took top position, found the arm triangle, and got the tap. The former 155-pounder RDA finds himself back in the win column and moves to 4-2 at welterweight.

Lee tags the body with a kick. and again. Right hand misses for Lee. Left lands for RDA. A one two hits for RDA. And another. A thudding leg kick buckles Lee but he stands right up. Lee kicks the leg of RDA. Lee gets a takedown but RDA is quick to stand up. Jab sticks for RDA. Lee shoots and shoves RDA against the fence again. RDA returns to open space. Lee shoots a sloppy takedown and RDA takes top position. He’s landing punches. He’s locking up an arm triangle. RDA’s got it! Lee taps! It’s over!
