The UFC and Jake Shields have finally made it official. Shields (25-4-1) the former Middleweight Champion under the Strikeforce banner was released from his contract shortly after he defeated Dan Hnederson. Dana White quickly jumped on and reached out to Shields. Jake publicly talked about his interest in joining the UFC, fighting Georges St. Pierre and the best in the world. Well now he may get his chance.
NO opponenet has been announced so far, but will fight in the 170 lb. welterweight division and will soon meet up with a top contender according to the Gracie Fighter Website.
