UFC Tampa video highlights: Jedrzejczyk takes dominant decision over Waterson

The UFC’s former strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk dominated the #7 ranked Michelle Waterson in the UFC Tampa main event. Joanna put on a master class in striking, keeping Waterson on the outside as she landed gorgeous striking combinations. JJ did a great job of finishing her punches with leg kicks. Also, whenever the fight moved to the clinch, JJ was able to score with crafty inside strikes. Waterson had a few moments when she was able to take the back, but was unable to manifest a finish. The most damage that JJ took was a badly swollen foot, but other than that, Joanna owned this fight.

Round 4 – Jedrzejczyk starts fast again. Front kick from Joanna to the face. Waterson ties her up but Joanna spins her into the fence. She lands a few strikes before Waterson spins away. Body kick and jabs from Jedrzejczyk. Waterson is missing with almost all of her strikes. The fight is being contested at Jedrzejczyk’s range. More low kicks from the former champ. Waterson scoops a single but Jedrzejczyk fights her off. Jedrzejczyk with a takedown. She’s ragdolling Waterson around again. Elbow from Jedrzejczyk against the fence. That was rough. Knees from Joanna. 10-9 Jedrzejczyk.
