The UFC will reportedly make its return to network television in 2021.
The last time a UFC fight card aired on network TV in the US was two years ago. UFC on FOX 31 was held on December 15, 2018, to mark the company’s final event with FOX Sports after a seven-year run.
That may all change in the coming year. According to a report by MMA Junkie, the January 16 card will air on ABC. It will be the UFC’s debut on the said network, but a deal has yet to be finalized.
Another source close to the situation revealed that the planned January 30 event will no longer be taking place. One of the announced fights on the card is a rematch between top ten bantamweights Pedro Munhoz and Jimmie Rivera.
Headlining the UFC’s kick-off card for 2021 is a featherweight bout between former champion Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar. It takes place at the Flash Forum on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
