Conor McGregor will hit the stage before his fight with Donald Cerrone next weekend, as the UFC has organised a press conference for their fight.
Just a few days before they are scheduled to meet in the Octagon, Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone will appear at a press conference for their UFC 246 main event fight.
The promotion announced earlier this week that they will hold a press conference on January 15th to promote the upcoming fight between McGregor and Cerrone. Free to attend and open to the public, the conference will take place at the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
McGregor (21-4) is no stranger to these types of press conferences, previously having ones before his fights with the likes of Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Irishman will be looking to get back in the win column when he meets Cerrone in their welterweight fight, as the ‘Notorious’ one is without a win in over three years.
A veteran of fifty fights, ‘Cowboy’ (36-13, 1NC) is currently on a two fight losing streak, suffering stoppage losses to both Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson. Cerrone’s rivalry with McGregor stems way back to 2015, when the two traded words at a press conference before McGregor challenged Jose Aldo for the featherweight title, and Cerrone challenged Rafael Dos Anjos for the lightweight title.
UFC 246 takes place on January 18th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
