The UFC has big plans for Europe.
Two days before returning to London, England, with Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jimi Manuwa, the promotion announced it will host a Fight Night card in Dublin, Ireland, on July 19.
Garry Cook, the executive vice president and managing director of UFC EMEA, also announced to talkSPORT they plan a card in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2015.
The UFC has yet to announce the first card of the card in Dublin, but Irish featherweight Conor McGregor is expected to be part of the show.
Earlier today, UFC announced an event in Berlin, Germany, on May 31.
UFC’s first trip to Ireland took place at The O2 arena in Dublin in January 2009, when 9,369 watched Dan Henderson defeat Rich Franklin via split decision in the main event.
According to a report from Fighters Only, UFC has dates to future cards in Sweden and Turkey. Citing Garry Cook as the source, the report states that the promotion will return to Stockholm, Sweden, for a card on Oct. 4, and they will also host an event in Istanbul, Turkey, on Nov. 22.
“It’s exciting times ahead,” Cook said. “We’ve got a busy year planned and we are so excited about every event, starting this weekend. And what a way to finish the year: Istanbul will be terrific.”
