In a pretty uneventful main event at UFC Vegas 2, Cynthia Calvillo won a unanimous decision against Jessica Eye.

Cynthia Calvillo won a fairly one-sided unanimous decision against Jessica Eye in the main event of UFC Vegas 2.

What was the high point of the fight?

In the first round both women had some good moments on the feet, with Calvillo putting together some good combinations and Eye using her jab with success. Calvillo landed some shots from back control in the second round as it remained a fairly close start to the fight.

Calvillo started to find her rhythm as the fight hit the later rounds. Eye was always second to the punch as Calvillo landed some good body head combinations. Calvillo scored a well-timed takedown in the fifth round as the fight came to a close.

Where do they go from here?

Eye finds herself in a difficult position with the loss. Even though she won her last fight before this, she missed weight for that fight also. Looking pretty sluggish against Calvillo, it would make sense to book Eye a tune-up fight next.

The win means Calvillo will find herself ranked at 125-pounds after previously fighting at strawweight. In her post-fight interview, Calvillo said she wants to fight four times this year. Maybe Calvillo vs. Katlyn Chookagian is the fight to make next.

Watch it now, later or never?

Never. There was little to show for as it was a pretty lackluster fight.
