UFC Vegas 28 highlights: Rozenstruik scores first round stoppage win over Sakai

The UFC Vegas 28 main event saw Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai hoping to bounce back from tough losses to stake their claim in the heavyweight division. Both men opened up the first round with a slow pace exchanging kicks. Rozenstruik started to land body strikes with Sakai firing back some good hooks of his own.

As the first round came to a close, Rozenstruik landed a big left hook behind the ear of Sakai and the Brazilian dropped to the canvas. That was all it took for ‘Bigi Boi’ to bag himself the first round stoppage win.

They trade kicks. Inside leg kick from Rozenstruik. Slow pace. Lots of feeling out. Low kick from Sakai is checked. Rozenstruik lands to the body. Sakai has a low kick kick caught and he eats a hard right. They both swing and miss. Body jab from Rozenstruik. Sakai with a lead right hook. Inside leg kick from Jair. Again. He lands to the body and flurries. Another inside leg kick. Rozenstruik with a big shot seconds before the bell and Sakai goes down! A left left hook set up a right behind the ear, and Sakai just folded. One shot on the ground and it’s over. Wow.
