UFC Vegas 3 betting odds: Curtis Blaydes expected to KO Alexander Volkov

Check out the betting odds for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 3 card, where Curtis Blaydes is heavily favored over over Alexander Volkov in the main event.

It’s almost time for UFC Vegas 3 to blast off this Saturday, June 20th, from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Top-10 heavyweights will grace the top of the billing when the #3 rated, Curtis Blaydes, shoots a fair one with the #7 ranked, Alexander Volkov. Bloody Elbow is front and center with the betting lines for this UFC Vegas 3 card.

The oddsmakers are favoring Blaydes over Volkov in the main event, and do so by a lot. The #3 ranked 265-pounder clocks in as a massive -410 betting favorite. That leaves the #7 ranked Volkov as a hefty underdog option at +365. It’s crazy to think that this betting line is this wide between the #3 and #7 rated guys, but it just goes to show that rankings mean very little and stylistic matchups are life. The 6’7 Volkov will likely have more than his hands full trying to keep Mr. Takedown from under his hips. Speaking of Blaydes’ takedowns, he didn’t even need them to knock out Junior dos Santos in his last fight. With Volkov seeming to have fewer ways to win here, it makes total sense to see him valued with such a puffy plus line — but this is heavyweight after all.

The most widely available over/under betting odds has been assessed at 2.5 rounds The ‘Under 2.5 rounds’ line is slightly favored at -145, with a +113 comeback on the ‘Over 2.5 rounds’ option. According to the odds, this UFC Vegas 3 main event will not be lasting all 25-minutes. The wager ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is sporting a heavily favored moneyline of -310, with ‘Fight goes to decision’ owing a sizable underdog tag of +295.

Curtis Blaydes is the fighter that the bookies have projected to pull out a finish. ‘Blaydes wins inside distance’ is an exotic option that’s trending as a -210 betting favorite, with ‘Not Blaydes inside distance’ holding as a +168 dog. Going back the other way, the ‘Volkov wins inside distance’ wager is sitting with a rather larger underdog mark of +485, with ‘Not Volkov inside distance’ hugely favored at -760.

Going one step further, the odds favor Blaydes scoring a knockout on Volkov. Gamblers can lay the price on the prop ‘Blaydes wins by TKO/KO’ for a cost of -170, or take the price on ‘Any other result’ at an underdog line of +130. By comparison, the ‘Volkov wins by TKO/KO’ option soars with a lofty underdog value of +559, with ‘Any other results’ existing at the opposite end of the spectrum at -1075.
