This Saturday’s, August 8th., UFC Fight Night event, broadcast from the APEX Fight Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, showcased a heavyweight bout between Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis vs. Alexey ‘The Boa Constrictor’ Oleinik. Our co-main event showcased a light heavyweight brawl between the former UFC Middleweight Champion, Chris ‘All American’ Weidman and Omari ‘Wolverine’ Akhmedov.
Also on the card, we had a a couple exciting match ups between women’s bantamweights Yana ‘Foxy’ Kunitskaya and Julija Stoliarenko, which went to the judges scorecards; and that bout was preceded by an exciting brawl which took place between Beneil ‘Benny’ Dariush and Scott ‘Hot Sauce’ Holtzman which lasted a mere 4:29 of Round 1; rounding things out, we were treated to POTN efforts put forth by Andrew Sanchez, Darren Stewart, Gavin Tucker, and Kevin Holland. Three of those kicked off the night during our prelim card, with exciting finishes from Gavin Tucker, Kevin Holland and Andrew Sanchez. Overall, the twelve bout card saw four KO/TKOs, two submissions and six decisions, including one that was split… what a fun night of fights we have to discuss with you!
