“Coming soon! Munhoz-Edgar takes the main event slot of #UFCVegas7 w/ Romero-Hall joining the action,” the UFC posted on Wednesday.
Edgar, the former UFC lightweight champion, will look to snap a two-fight losing skid and crack the UFC’s top ten bantamweight rankings with a win over Munhoz, who is looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 238. Edgar is just 2-3 in his last five bouts and hasn’t officially won a fight in the UFC since his decision win over Cub Swanson in 2018. Munhoz, 33, is 3-2 in his last five and is the more active fighter. The No. 5-ranked bantamweight holds a highlight reel knockout win over former 135-pound champ Cody Garbrandt.
As for the co-main, former middleweight title challenger Romero will look to spring back into the winners column after suffering three consecutive losses to Israel Adesanya, Paulo Costa, and Robert Whittaker. Hall, on the other hand, is on a two-fight win streak and will look to crack the top five with a victory over Romero.
UFC Fight Night 175 will take place later this month, Aug, 22 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
