Check out the full fight video highlights of Alistair Overeem’s comeback finish of Augusto Sakai from the UFC Vegas 9 main event.
The main event for UFC Vegas 9 saw quite the comeback for longtime MMA veteran Alistair Overeem, as he stopped the promotion’s #9 ranked heavyweight, Augusto Sakai with ground strikes in the fifth round. The first round had some mean blitzes from Sakai, a clean overhand from Overeem, and some descent clinch strikes on both sides. As the fight went on, the flurries from Sakai began to do more damage, but Overeem wasn’t done just yet. After a lot of shelling up against the cage and getting pounded on, the #6 ranked Overeem got himself a takedown in the fourth round and began dropping hammers. The final round saw Overeem go right to the takedown and right back to the elbows to score the comeback win. Look at Overeem showing off some toughness and durability!
