UFC Vegas 95, plagued with cancelations, withdrawals, and last-minute switch ups, continues to make headlines — for all the wrong reasons — ahead of the ESPN/ESPN+ broadcast this Sat. night (Aug. 10, 2024) from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Three fighters missed weight for the UFC Vegas 95 early weigh ins on Friday (get full results and video here). Chelsea Chandler crushed the scale at 141 pounds for her bantamweight contest against Yana Santos, five pounds over the division limit.

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) affords a one-pound overage in non-title fights.

Elsewhere on the card, Chepe Mariscal came in 3.5 pounds over the featherweight mark for his UFC Vegas 95 co-main event opposite Damon Jackson. In addition, Danny Barlow weighed in at 171.25 (inside the box of shame) ahead of his welterweight clash against Nikolay Veretennikov.

Doctors prevented Barlow from shaving off the extra weight.

As of this writing, all three fights are expected to proceed as scheduled; however, Chandler, Mariscal, and Barlow will all cough up sizable fines — payable to their fight night opponents — after stepping into the Octagon this weekend in “Sin City.”
