Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, 35, is just one victory away from getting his Tyron Woodley rematch, after coughing up the crown to “The Chosen One” at UFC 201 back in July 2016.

The means to that end is a definitive win over ex-lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, who finagled a “Ruthless” showdown for the 170-pound main event of UFC on FOX 26, which takes place this Saturday night (Dec. 16, 2017) inside Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Not that Lawler gives a shit.

“That’s what they’re saying, but I’m not really focused on that,” Lawler told UFC Tonight. “I’m focused on being a better fighter and a better person. That’s what they said, but things change in this fight game all the time.”

Lawler (28-11, 1 NC) took a year off from mixed martial arts (MMA) following his knockout loss to “The Chosen One” in summer 2016. The rejuvenated slugger returned at UFC 214 to score a close decision victory over veteran “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone.

Can he have the best of both worlds? We’ll find out in roughly 48 hours.
